Yoga is like music: the rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind and the harmony of the soul create the symphony of life BKS Iyengar

Yoga is the union of our different bodies: physical, emotional, mental, energetic and spiritual. And it is above all a state of being, not of doing. The postures are only the visible part of the iceberg. Trained in a classical yoga - Hatha Yoga - (Sivananda), my sessions are influenced by this discipline, in which Taoist philosophy dominates (yin/yang). A typical session always includes yoga postures, relaxation, breathing exercises, meditation and shared reflections. My philosophy during the sessions I enjoy sharing is to make the effort without effort.
It is important to be fully present and disciplined during the session. Inattention can lead to the risk of getting hurt.
Before and at the end of each session there is a general and a more specific exchange about the previous sessions, and more philosophical reflections at the end of the session.
The main benefits you can gain from a regular practice (Minimum twice a week)
Experience deep relaxation as soothing sound vibrations help calm your nervous system, release physical tension, and create a lasting sense of peace throughout your body and mind.
Allow the therapeutic sounds to quiet mental distractions, ease everyday stress, and promote a calmer, more balanced emotional state in a gentle and natural way.
Harmonious frequencies support your body's natural energy flow, helping restore inner balance and encouraging a renewed feeling of vitality and emotional well-being.
Deep relaxation during the session helps prepare both body and mind for more restful sleep, making it easier to unwind and wake up feeling refreshed.
Yoga as I offer it is for all age groups (excluding children) and for all levels (multi-level classes). It is a challenge for me and for the participants.
Sitting on a chair all day long is the worst thing for physical and mental health. Yoga, like movement in general, is essential to maintain balance and harmony.
Stress and worry are, along with back pain, an ailment of our civilisation. Yoga is a moment of returning to yourself, slowing down the relentless pace of modern life. Simply coming back to yourself releases tension.
Everyone wants to feel good in their body and mind, and there is nothing better than prevention: keeping a healthy mind in a healthy body. As a keen runner myself, I find that yoga helps look after the joints in the face of the endurance and stress of running.
